Ford fans you are in for a
treat. So you want to make a statement at th local cruise in
and be ready for street or show where ever you park. Then you
need to take time to look seriously at this 1940 Ford Deluxe
Opera Coupe. This car came from Kansas City, Kansas (near perfect
car) The car has been painted over 5 years and other than a few
stone chips the paint is perfect. That wouldnt be the case
if it was a steel car with extensive body repair. The car is
a NSRA 23 point car. The LS1 engine and 4L60E trans is 2000 modle
with less that 20,000 miles all accessories such as headers,
etc are from Street & Performance. The rear end is an 8.7
Ford with 3:70 gears. The car will get 22 MPG on the highway.
The fuel tank is Tanks poly with the GM/Delco fuel
pump ordered for this motor. Front suspension is Mustang II.
Wheels are Halibrand Sprints with new B.F. Goodrich TA radials.
The color is GM Victory Red. The interior is all leather except
the head liner. The radio has a 6 disc CD changer. GM column
with Banjo leather wrap steering wheel, on a GM column. Power
windows, power steering, cruise control. The original clock has
been converted to electric quartz movement. Radiator is Custom
Auto Radiator that I had polished. The fan is a cooling components
fan and this car will sit and Idle with the air on and not go
above the thermostat seting and the fan will cycle if the air
isnt on. I have wired the fan to run if the AC compressor
is on regardless of engine temp. There is a temp. sensor for
the fan in the radiator. The AC is Vingage air heat and cool
for a 40 Ford. I have rigged up a temperature thermostat for
the heat so that if you set the heat to 70 degrees in the winter
, the hot water valve will cycle. Electric 2 speed wipers, gas
shock for the trunk lifts, all lock work correctly so you can
secure the car. Master power cut off but wired so you will not
lose the memory to the computer, radio memory and the clock.
Lots of love time and effort went into this bad boy and it is
as fine as it looks. It is ready for cruise or strip and it is
currently looking for a new home. How about yours? |
