You are looking at on of 1500 1946 Hudson Pickup Trucks produced. This bad boy had been through a frame off street rod restoration and it is as sharp as it is rare. Finished at the end of 2000 it has only 7600 well cared for miles on it. It is powered by a 1989 LT1 Corvette engine that features little goodies like a Polished Aluminium Intake with a new 650 Edelbrock Carb, Polished Alt, Polished Power steering Pump and Polished A/C Compressor, Corvette style Headers with Winston Cup Exhaust out. It is cooled with a Walker Copper Core Radiator. The rear end is a 10 bolt Chevy Nova, geared 373. There were 8 leafs removed from the rear springs to smooth the ride from the original set up. Wiring was done with a Francaes Wiring Harness. Inside you will find a Grey Valour Interior by Carolina Auto Trim in Bufford SC, S_10 Bench Seat w/ seat belts, GM Tilt Column with a black Grant GT Wheel, Vintage Heat & Air, all new smoke tinted safety glass, Power Windows & Windshield Wipers. The dash was hand fabricated to sport the new VDO Competition Gauges and still features the original starter button (functional), light button and the original dash emblem. The door handles are from a VW and emergency brake handle located by the drivers door is from a Mustang. The brakes are disc on front and drum on the rear. The tires and wheels are also new. 6" Rallies on the front and 8" Rallies on the rear. It also features a 17 gallon aluminium fuel tank. The bed is lined in polished deck plate and looks great in the truck. It is painted White pearl with Silver Fenders and Running boards. The running boards are functional and lead to the side exhaust ports that give it the sporty look. The truck is all steel, solid and even has he original vin tag on the passengers side door jam. Hood tilts forward as was origianl and it still has the original emblem. This truck looks mostly original but let me tell you that when you turn the key and the LT1 breaths to life you will fill the hairs on your neck stand up as it pushes this Bad Boy down the road in a hurry~! Sitting behind the wheel is a pleasure because it drives as good as it looks. The current owner/builder spent 4 years building it and has shown it very little. Guaranteed to be a head and RPM turning strip cruiser! Show or go it is priced to sell (well below the build cost!!) and is currently looking for a new home. How about yours?
