The Phoenix model is the original Bad Toys prototype. The concept was to use retro styling while incorporating state of the art performance. The softtail chassis was the frame of choice and perhaps the Best looking engine was the 1967-1969 pan bottom shovel top. Bad Toys trans configuration required a blend of the old with the new. The frame demanded a late model bottom for the trans and an early rachet top to run the mousetrap. This was the easy stuff. The real trick was incorporating a high torque starter while using that beautiful tin derby.

The frame has a 3 inch stretch and a 38 degree rake. The frontend is old style wide glide with Showa legs. The bike is held off the pavement with an 18 inch 180 wide tire and a 21 inch front tire featuring twisted spokes made by Pat Kennedy. Bad Toys molds the frame to eliminate all welding marks and drills the frame to house the wiring harness including the brake lines. The bike is equipped with a Bad Toys hidden oil filter housing. To give maximum visual pleasure, strip bike to open road cruiser Bad Toys developed a quick change tank configuration and this model comes with a Peanut, King or Fat Bob tanks which can be changed in a matter of minutes.

 Bad Toys only uses the finest components which includes adjustable Works shocks, PM front and rear brakes, PM forward and hand controls. We manufacture our distinctive struts, front light bracket, hidden oil filter housing, motor mount plate with start button and Magneto switch, mounting bracket for Magneto transformer, brackets for the quick change Fat Bob tanks, we spec our distinctive rear fender, bob the front fender, make our own seats and high performance spark plug wires. Bad Toys marries the clutch housing to the high torque starter which incorporates the tin derby covers..

The Phoenix model features that Bad Toys 101 cubic inch high performance motor. Our motor uses thin lined fly wheels, high lift linwebber cams and stage 4 heads by STD. The mag is 180,000 single fire. Fuel is delivered by S&S G thunder jetted carburetor. All Bad Toys models are built on Atlas frames with STD cases. We incorporate the finest parts from Jims, Rivera, Axtel, Andrews and others.
